Meet Kabylan. Kabylan is a snow leopard cub from the Tien Shan (‘heavenly’) Mountains of Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia. And although his name means "fearless and courageous", Kabylan and other snow leopards are actually very shy and easily disturbed by people. Unfortunately, a rise in poverty has forced people to move into the snow leopard’s territory, giving them less and less space in which to live. This displacement from their natural home, along with a dramatic loss of the prey they rely on to survive because of hunting and poaching, has left these beautiful creatures endangered. And today Kyrgyzstan roughly estimates that there are only a mere 300 snow leopards left in the wild. Kabylan is one of the lucky few. He lives in a national park, which keeps him and his family safe from danger. But other snow leopards are not so lucky. If you would like to help save Kabylan’s friends from losing their homes, please take this plush stuffed animal home with you. Origins will donate $3 from the retail price...
